The Capitol Civic Centre has decided to postpone performance operations through December 31, 2020. Ticket holders will be contacted regarding individual performance status and options. Many patrons have donated the value of tickets for canceled shows as a gift to the Capitol, and we are deeply appreciative of their support.
We will follow city, state, and national guidelines, and will reopen when it is safe to do so. If conditions allow, we will begin presenting small events to test new procedures for staff, volunteers, and attendees. Once implemented, we will schedule events with audiences being placed in socially distanced seating.
You can make a difference in the Capitol’s future. Through the end of the year, our goal is to raise 100 gifts of $1,500 to match three generous donors who are providing $150,000 in support. This funding will help cover operating expenses, assist with planning the 100th Anniversary of the Capitol Theater, and ensure we are able to continue our mission. On behalf of the Capitol Civic Centre staff, board of directors, and volunteers, please take care. We’ll be together again.
