MANITOWOC, WI – The Capitol Civic Centre invites music lovers to step back in time for an unforgettable night of rock-and-roll history as “One Night in Memphis” comes to the main stage on Friday, October 23, at 7:00 pm. Presented as part of the Salutz Law Variety Series, this high-octane concert tribute pays homage to four legendary Sun Records recording artists: Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis Presley.

Created and directed by John Muelle, “One Night in Memphis” brings audiences a front-row seat to a legendary rock-and-roll royalty jam session. The show relives the magic of December 4, 1956, when chance brought Perkins, Cash, Lewis, and Presley together at Sun Records’ studio in Memphis, Tennessee, creating an impromptu session that permanently altered the course of American music history.

Featuring over 90 minutes of pure 1950s rock-and-roll, rockabilly, country, and gospel, the performance is delivered entirely live without backing tracks. Backed by an authentic, energetic rockabilly band, acclaimed national talent will perform timeless hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Shake, Rattle and Roll,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Hound Dog.”

Suitable for audiences of most ages, this production promises standing ovations and an energetic experience guaranteed to get Lakeshore theatergoers rocking and rolling.
