Production Manager
The Production Manager leads the technical and operational functions for all organizational events and facility management. This role works with artists and clients to review contractual technical requirements and ensure a seamless experience by procuring the necessary lighting, audio, video, staging, and backline equipment. Beyond event execution, the position oversees the facility’s physical plant, including performing routine maintenance, establishing cleaning schedules, and conducting safety inspections on rigging and lifts. The candidate must be able to recruit, hire, and train a technical call list and supervise operational staff for daily and event-specific cleaning. The schedule fluctuates with events and includes evenings and weekends. The non-event schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Applicants should possess a degree in Technical Theatre or commensurate experience and at least two years of supervisory experience in a performing arts center. Physical requirements include the ability to ascend ladders and regularly push or pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Click here for a complete job description. Venue Technician (As Needed)
Each Venue Technician participates on a call list to assist in multiple capacities during events. Each individual’s skills determine specific responsibilities. Individuals may be assigned various duties throughout the day, such as loader in the morning, stage crew in the afternoon, and operator during a performance.
