The Lakeshore Wind Ensemble season will conclude with a salute to all things Wisconsin during our “An American Salute: Wisconsin Rhapsody” concert! Guest pianist Dr. Justin Krueger, Vice President of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association, will be performing “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin, which recently turned 100 years old! Works by Wisconsin composers will be featured, including LWE’s own Brian Van Ells and Gary Audry. Audry’s arrangement is the title track for the WWII mini-series “Masters of the Air’, which will be performed along with the video trailer. Our veterans will also be honored during the concert with service songs for each branch.
Guest vocalist David Bourgeois returns to the Capitol stage to sing several pieces, including “Mansions of the Lord,” “As Time Goes By,” and “America the Beautiful.” You don’t want to miss this tribute to Wisconsin with LWE conductor Jeremiah Eis at the helm.
