FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MANITOWOC, WI – The Capitol Civic Centre is proud to announce that the Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale will take the stage for a breathtaking musical journey in their upcoming production, “Classics to Broadway,” on Tuesday, May 19, at 7:00 pm. This curated program promises an evening celebrating the sheer versatility of the human voice, spanning three centuries of vocal excellence.

From the sacred echoes of choral masters to the show-stopping energy of the Great White Way, “Classics to Broadway” offers a repertoire designed to captivate every ear. The first half of the performance honors the soul and history of choral music, featuring the ethereal beauty of Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia” and the soaring movements of Franz Schubert’s “Mass in G Major.” The program also includes the spirited “Ye Followers of the Lamb” and the rich, emotive textures of Moses Hogan’s “Do Lord, Remember Me.”

The performance then transitions from the sanctuary to the spotlight, featuring lush medleys from two of musical theater’s most beloved scores. Audiences will be swept away by the haunting melodies of “The Secret Garden” and the epic, revolutionary spirit of ‘Les Misérables.”

This 120-minute production is more than just a concert; it is a community celebration of local talent performing the greatest hits of the last 300 years. The event is appropriate for all ages, making it a perfect cultural outing for the entire family.

Tickets for this performance are $14 for adults and $12 for students. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the Capitol Civic Centre’s website at cccshows.org or contact the Box Office at 920.683.2184.
