Adventure Series
It’s time to announce the 2024-25 Adventure Series featuring three excellent shows and we are excited to share these great shows with you! We are so grateful to the Ruth St. John and John Dunham West Foundation for their continued support of these live performances.
For many Adventure Series attendees, this is the first time they will experience the joy of live performance. This year’s lineup will continue the tradition of presenting educational—and fun—programming to our area youth.
Winnie The Pooh, Tuesday, March 25, 2025
(performances at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.)
The beloved literary classic comes to life in this sweet, charming production. Join Pooh and all your favorite characters from Hundred Acre Wood as they find themselves in the playful predicaments first imagined by writer A.A. Milne in 1926. Christopher Robin, Owl, Eeyore, and more bring this classic work to life in a performance geared for Grade 1.
Pirate School: The Science of Pirates! Wednesday, March 26, 2025
(performances at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.)
This exciting and motivating production geared for Grade 5 will deliver piratical fun while introducing simple concepts outlined in the Next Generation Science Standards. Historically, seafarers have pushed science and technology forward, and who better to captivate and expand children’s horizons than the swaggering stuff of Pirate School? Subjects include simple machines, air pressure/lift, math = navigation, aerodynamics of a cannonball, and things that go “boom!”
