Need more music in your life?  The Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale is holding interviews (not auditions) for the 2017-18  concert season. Plans are to sing all American composed or arranged music for the December 5 concert at the Capitol Civic Centre and the December 14 concert at UW-Manitowoc.

The Spring concert will be on May 10,  2018 at UW-Manitowoc. The Chorale will be joining the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra and three other vocal ensembles to sing choruses from Haydn’s Creation at the Capitol Civic Centre on April 21, 2018.

The Chorale is comprised of singers age 18 -118 (could it be?) and includes singers from the community and students from UW-Manitowoc who may take the class for credit. The Chorale is beginning its fourth year of singing together and currently have about 50 singers. Rehearsals are every Thursday, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the music room at the UW-Manitowoc. Repertoire ranges from popular, folk, Broadway tunes, jazz arrangements of standards, to classical. Traditionally, the Chorale performs at Manitowoc’s Subfest in July and is available for other community events.

Interviews for new singers will be Wednesday and Thursday, September 6 and 7,  from 4 to 6 p.m. Interviews will be held at the Capitol Civic Centre in the Mertens Family Lobby/Kadow Movie Museum. Membership fees (excluding University students) are $140 for the year or $75 for each semester. Call Jim and Susie Miller, (920) 684-4862 to schedule a 10 minute interview. Current members do not need to interview again.
