Thank you for your commitment to this community through your support of the Capitol Civic Centre and its Foundation. Through an enormous amount of vision and perseverance, intrepid volunteers and supporters saved and restored the old Capitol Theatre 30-plus years ago.

In some ways, saving the Capitol was the easy part of the theatre’s journey. Keeping this landmark a viable, relevant, and active place of art, culture, and community is an ongoing challenge. The facility improvements and campaign the Capitol is currently considering will help keep the venue and business competitive and an ongoing source of local pride. The Capitol Civic Centre is a nonprofit organization, but it is also a business that must keep up with the times.

The CCC Foundation, overseeing the Capitol’s endowment, functions to safeguard the long-term sustainability of the Capitol’s property and mission. Meaningful growth of the endowment is critical for the Capitol to be alive and relevant 20, 30, even 50 years from now. Every year the Foundation grants 3.5% of an average value of the endowment’s holdings to the Capitol Civic Centre in support of building upkeep, programming, and operations.

In 2021 the historic Capitol Theatre will be 100 years old! Our goal for this inspiring milestone is to grow the endowment holdings to $2.021 million by 2021.
