MUSIC UNITES US, 2017-18 Season

Renewing subscribers: Place your order anytime until May 31, 2017 to maintain current seating preference. Seat change requests can be submitted with your order and will be confirmed starting June 1, 2017.

New subscribers: available starting June 1, 2017. Orders can be sent to the Capitol Civic Centre any time before June 1 to ensure access to the best available seats once renewing subscriptions are complete.

Single tickets available for purchase starting Monday, Sept., 2017.­

 

LWE “Music of the Masters”

Thundering trumpets! Repertoire will include “Rolling Thunder,” “Thunder and Lighting Polka,” and “The Thunderer.” Guest soloist John Daniel, Lawrence University Professor of Trumpet

 

LBB “Theme Song”

Remembering the songs that sent us running to the living room TV, fighting for the remote… classics from Bob Newhart to Mike Hammer to The Odd Couple, as well as more recent jingles such as Family Guy!

 

LWE “Festival of Christmas”

Friday, December 1, 2017, 7:30 pm & Saturday, December 2, 2017, 7:30 pm

Some highlights include “Chorale Prelude” by Max Reger, “Medieval Suite” by Ron Nelson based on early church music, program narration by Tom Zalaski, LWE Children’s Choir, vocalists Kim Hofmann and David Bourgeois and the audience favorite Christmas “Sing-a-long.”

Music featuring the clarinet including “Yiddish Dances,” “Clarinet Polka,” “Clarinet Concerto” by Weber, and the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Association Young Artist Competition winners.

 

LBB “Viva Las Vegas”

An American salute, with “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite,” “Outdoor Overture” by Copland, “Far and Away” by John Williams, and “Strategic Air Command March” by Clifton Williams.
