Capitol Civic Centre Job Opening (January 4, 2018)

POSITION: The Capitol Civic Centre, the “Jewel of the Lakeshore,” is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director and senior staff for an estimated 12-16 months beginning in January 2018.

Duties will include but not be limited to file organization and management, scheduling meetings, online and archival research, drafting letters from templates and notes, drafting reports, proofreading, facilitating mailings, taking meeting notes, reception desk duties, screening phone calls, and other activities to be determined.

Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 15-20 hours per week, daytime hours. More hours possible during certain “busy” times. Schedule can be flexible or generally consistent as far as specific days per week.

REQUIREMENTS: College degree preferred. Must be highly organized; fluent with MS Office programs; excellent phone skills; knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation; must be professional in decorum and job performance; must complete confidentiality and conflict-of-interest agreements. Familiarity with the Capitol Civic Centre, arts and entertainment, are a plus.

COMPENSATION: $10.00-$13.50 per hour, depending on experience.
